Sehnaz Gungor advises clients on a broad range of transactional and commercial matters including domestic and cross-border acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments, restructurings, leveraged buyouts, and general commercial advisory work. Ms. Gungor acts for a diverse client base, from start-ups to multinationals, and has substantial experience across both emerging and mature markets in the financial technology (fintech), oil and gas, commodities, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing sectors.
Trained in both civil and common law, Ms. Gungor has over a decade of experience representing acquirers and targets in their corporate transactions with private equity firms, strategic investors, and sovereigns and sovereign-owned entities. Building on her extensive deal experience around the globe, especially in the U.S. and the Middle East, she advises businesses on all aspects of complex strategic transactions, from the initial structuring phase to completion.
As a trusted advisor, Ms. Gungor provides strategic commercial advice to clients on an array of commercial contracts, including manufacturing, supply, payment services, distribution, license, franchise, and joint development agreements. She also offers advice on intellectual property issues that may arise from these agreements.
In addition to her non-contentious practice, Ms. Gungor also advises clients in relation to investment treaty and international commercial arbitrations, conducted under the auspices of various arbitral institutions, such as the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), in the construction, chemicals, agriculture and telecommunications sectors.
