Curtis is strengthening its European presence and enhancing its Central and Eastern European (CEE) and South Eastern European (SEE) capabilities with the opening of its latest office in Budapest.
The Curtis Budapest team comprises attorneys from the established local firm D'Ornano Partners, and will operate under the name Curtis D’Ornano Európai Közösségi Jogászi Iroda ("Curtis Budapest").
With a strong track record in M&A and complex transactions across Europe, the new office will allow Curtis to better serve its international clientele with deep expertise and investment access within local and regional markets.
Building on D'Ornano Partners' core focus in M&A, corporate law, employment, and real estate law, the new entity also brings specialized skills in litigation management within the region, complementing Curtis' reputation for excellence in international and transnational litigation.
The Curtis Budapest office will be led by Mr. François D’Ornano, supported by his locally qualified legal team in Budapest, and by the seamless network of Curtis lawyers worldwide.
With 25 years of experience in corporate M&A, Mr. D’Ornano has established himself as a trusted advisor to multinational corporations on complex investments and transactions throughout CEE and SEE. Recognized by Chambers Global as a Foreign Expert in Hungary and ranked for high-end capability and expertise in CEE, he is admitted to the Paris Bar as a French attorney, to the Budapest Bar as European community lawyer, and has developed notable sectoral knowledge.
The team is qualified to practice in Hungary, France and Belgrade, and is recognized throughout the region for their transactional expertise, particularly in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, and other CEE and SEE countries, where they represent local companies as well as multinationals requiring sophisticated business law advice.
