Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP sponsored the Colombia Venture Nation Event in Miami, Florida, alongside the ColCapital, the Colombian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, and ProColombia, the Colombian government’s promotion agency. The event had over 50 people in attendance including general partners (GPs) and limited partners (LPs) ranging from institutions, family offices and angel investors. Partner Elisa Botero and Associate Mara Paulina Santacruz Salazar were also in attendance.
Ms. Botero spoke on a roundtable and shared her thoughts on the legal issues GPs need to consider when fundraising globally, as well as the legal due diligence for LPs.
