Salazar Maria Paulina Santacruz

Maria Paulina Santacruz Salazar is an associate in the international corporate and international arbitration practices.

Prior to joining Curtis, Ms. Santacruz interned at the Constitutional Court of Colombia, where she provided legal research regarding the judicial review of laws concerning fundamental rights violations. She also interned at the Permanent Mission of Colombia to the Organization of American States, in Washington, D.C. While there, she assisted in the negotiation of human rights resolutions before the Committee on Juridical and Political Affairs, and supported the preparation of Colombia’s position during a General Assembly. Previously, she worked at a prestigious law firm in Bogota as part of the litigation team. Ms. Santacruz has also served as a lecturer in the Department of Public Law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia.

Ms. Santacruz received her law degree with honors from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, and was recognized with an honorable mention distinction for her dissertation. While in law school, she directed the university’s Foro Javeriano newspaper and was an active member of the Constitutional Law and Political Deliberation Research Group.
