Partner Elisa Botero moderated a panel at the ColCapital - Asociación Colombiana de Capital Privado 2025 Congress. The panel titled “From Investment to Exit: The Art Of Successful Dealmaking”, explored the private equity lifecycle in Latin America.

The panel challenged the myth that successful exits aren't possible in the region and highlighted how value creation must be viewed as a continuous process from the beginning. The panelists, including Camilo Villaveces (CEO, Ashmore), Manuel Garcia (Partner & Managing Director, Advent), and Arslan Mian (Managing Director, BlackRock), covered topics such as; infrastructure exits, exit strategy, inclining investment opportunities in the region, continuation funds and secondaries.

The discussion demonstrated that the sophistication of strategies, growing interest from global players, and successful exit stories all point towards promising years ahead for Private Equity in Latin America.
