On October 31, 2025, Middle East disputes partner Mohannad El Murtadi Suleiman spoke on a panel at the 19th Juris Investment Treaty Arbitration Conference, held this year in Toronto, Canada.
The panel engaged in a discussion on the burden and standards of proof for corruption claims in Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) as well as the effectiveness of the red flag approach to such claims. As per the convention of this event, the panel saw the presentation of two opposing viewpoints on the issue.
