Partner Borzu Sabahi Participates in High Level Trade and Investment Program for India

Washington, D.C. Partner, Borzu Sabahi taught sessions on international investment law and ISDS in a three-day training program on trade and investment, which took place in New Delhi, India from January 10-12. The program was co-organized by the International Law Institute (ILI) and Center for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), which is affiliated with the Indian Ministry of Commerce.

The trade side of the program was designed and taught by Patrick Macrory (ILI’s Director of Trade programs), David Shark (former Deputy Director of WTO), and Professor James Nedumpara and Assistant Professor Shiny Pradeep of CTIL, together with a number of other distinguished speakers: Mr. Sudhanshu Pandey (Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry); Mr. Rajeev Kher (Former Commerce Secretary); Mr. Anwarul Hoda (former Deputy Director-General of WTO); Dr. Harsha V. Singh (former Deputy Director-General of WTO); Prof. Manoh Pant (Director, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade); Prof. Abhijit Das (Trade Policy Expert at the Centre for WTO Studies); and Prof. Rajan S. Ratna (ESCAP).

About 50 Indian government officials from Ministries of Commerce & Industry, External Affairs, Electronics &IT, Exim Bank, and other entities participated in the program. Additional information about the program may be found here.
