Recording of Curtis ISDS Webinar on UNCITRAL Working Group III

A recording of Curtis’ latest Webinar on ISDS, focusing on UNCITRAL’s Working Group III, which took place on April 21, 2022, is now available.

Moderated by George Kahale, the webinar features three presentations examining proposed reforms to ISDS which are currently being considered by UNCITRAL’s Working Group III:

  • London-based counsel Lise Johnson leads the first session, which examines UNCITRAL Working Group III’s efforts to create an international investment court.
  • Next, Brussels and New York-based partner Simon Batifort explores issues surrounding the development of a code of conduct for adjudicators in international investment disputes.
  • Washington partner Borzu Sabahi concludes the session with a brief history of damages and quantum, and an overview of current proposals to reform various aspects of damages and quantum, including definitions of value, valuation methods, caps on damages and interest.
