Georg Melzer is Special Counsel in the Frankfurt Office. Being a certified specialist for employment law (Fachanwalt für Arbeitsrecht), his practice focuses on employment and labor law but also covers general corporate and commercial matters.
Mr. Melzer has experience in advising companies and individuals in relation to employment agreements, dismissal protection claims, works council agreements, interest balancings and social plans. He also renders employment and labor law advice in the context of M&A transactions and business transfers as well as insolvency situations.
In addition, Mr. Melzer has extensive experience in advising domestic companies (and members of executive and supervisory boards) with regard to corporate governance and also equity capital markets projects such as IPOs, capital increases and public takeovers.
Mr. Melzer has experience as chairman and member of several supervisory boards. He is the author of various business law-related publications. Prior to joining Curtis he worked as in-house lawyer in the Investment Banking and HR departments of a leading bank in Frankfurt and was a partner at a local Frankfurt law firm.
