Hermann Ferré

Mr. Ferré is a partner in the Litigation and International Arbitration groups. His substantive areas of experience include energy, construction, business law and international law. He has represented U.S. and foreign government officials in state and federal proceedings and acts for sovereign states and international organizations in international arbitration. He has acted as lead counsel in dozens of arbitrations under the American Arbitration Association (AAA), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) rules of arbitration, involving projects in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. He has been recognized by The Legal 500 USA, Lexology (Who’s Who Legal) and Super Lawyers.

Before practicing law, Mr. Ferré, who is a trained architect, managed construction projects for Los Angeles County. He helped establish the county’s Energy Management Division, focusing on energy efficiency, and was instrumental in partnering Los Angeles County with Southern California Edison in its innovative Demand-Side Management Program. Mr. Ferré first gained construction management experience while working for Washington Group International/URS and Burns & Roe.

Mr. Ferré’s practice encompasses pro bono representation. He has been recognized for his efforts to bring equal rights to the residents of Puerto Rico and was presented with a Resolution of the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico for his efforts in the case United States v. Vaello-Madero.
