José Galimberti focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, project finance, financing and capital markets transactions.
Mr. Galimberti has advised on acquisitions and joint ventures involving multinational and local companies from a variety of industries, including mining, oil and natural gas production and distribution, electricity production and distribution, insurance, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, mobile telecommunications, personal computers, software, music production, retail, food and beverage, textile and automotive, hotels, investment banks and supermarkets. He has also structured a number of mergers, spin-offs and corporate reorganizations in these sectors.
Clients regularly seek Mr. Galimberti’s advice on projects involving the design, engineering, financing and construction of oil pipelines, storage facilities and pumping plants, mines, river ports, industrial parks and other facilities. He has also participated in the negotiation of loan agreements granted by private banks, multilateral credit agencies and the Argentine Social Security Agency.
Mr. Galimberti has advised clients, including provinces and public banks, on the issuance and placement of debt securities and the public tender offer of equity securities and capital market regulations in Argentina. He has assisted clients in public tender offers in the U.S. and listing on AIM (London) and has also participated in international arbitrations, mainly involving claims under political risk insurance policies.
He is a professor at Austral University in the Corporate Law Postgraduate Program, has been a professor at Palermo University and has been an assistant professor at the University of Buenos Aires Law School.
