Léna Stasyk focuses her practice on international investment arbitration, as well as international commercial arbitration, principally representing sovereign States and State-owned entities.  She has particular experience in disputes arising from energy, construction, infrastructure and concession projects.

International Arbitration

Ms. Stasyk has extensive experience in investor-State arbitration and has been involved in proceedings conducted under the ICSID, UNCITRAL and SCC Rules, including disputes exceeding US$1 billion.

She possesses particular experience in disputes arising from production sharing agreements, including matters involving petroleum cost recovery and fiscal stabilization.  Her experience also includes disputes concerning hydrocarbons projects, construction and infrastructure projects, concession agreements, power generation and pharmaceutical investments.

Ms. Stasyk has also represented sovereign clients in connection with settlement negotiations and agreements, enforcement proceedings.  She has appeared before an ICSID tribunal.

In 2025, Ms. Stasyk completed an Executive MBA at ESCP Business School.  As head of her International Consulting Project, she led a multidisciplinary international team in taking a digital platform serving start-ups from concept to launch.  She oversaw the development of its business model and governance framework, the preparation of an investor-ready business plan, and the launch of a fully operational website.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Curtis, Ms. Stasyk worked in the Paris and Kyiv offices of a leading French law firm, where she advised international financial institutions, public authorities and private companies on infrastructure, public-private partnership and concession projects.  Her experience included IFC-supported projects in the energy, agricultural infrastructure and municipal services sectors, as well as advice on project agreements and government support arrangements.
