Matias Vega is a senior corporate attorney with extensive experience in international corporate, commercial and financial transactions over a range of industries and sectors.
Mr. Vega has more than 35 years of experience in international corporate, commercial and financial transactions. He has represented both private and public sector clients in a variety of transactions including both domestic and international joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and financings.
Mr. Vega’s experience covers a variety of industries and sectors, including oil and gas, mining, water supply and infrastructure, telecommunications, manufacturing and hospitality. Many of the transactions he has advised on have a significant international or cross-border aspect.
In the oil and gas and commodities areas, Mr. Vega’s experience includes advising on joint ventures and investments, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, public tenders and concessions, and supply agreements. He has also advised several governments and state entities on the adoption of laws and regulations in the oil and gas sector and the preparation of model concession and production sharing agreements as well as the design and implementation of bidding programs for exploration and production.
In the hospitality sector, he has represented owners in relation to the development of resort and hotel projects and the negotiation of management and branding agreements.
