Barry Kingham is a highly experienced and successful trial and appellate attorney engaged in civil and criminal business litigation and arbitration for corporations, governments and individuals involved in complex civil litigation and arbitration and federal and state white-collar criminal investigations and trials.
Mr. Kingham’s practice encompasses a broad range of matters, including securities, contracts, trusts and will contests, taxation, professional liability, defamation and business torts. He has represented corporations and individuals in enforcement proceedings by U.S. regulatory agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), in securities law and business fraud cases and has acted for foreign entities and individuals in civil and criminal matters in the United States, with particular experience in representing English, French, Swiss, Mexican, Brazilian and Russian clients.
Prior to joining Curtis, Mr. Kingham was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and then Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division and Executive U.S. Attorney. He began his legal career as a trial lawyer in the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, with service in Vietnam and Washington, D.C.
