Daniela Della Rosa and John Balouziyeh Speak at Fashion Law Conference in Kuwait City

Partners Daniela Della Rosa and John Balouziyeh spoke at the Advocates Group Academy Fashion Law Conference on April 28, which took place at the Four Seasons in Kuwait City.

Curtis' Fashion, Luxury and Beauty practice head Daniela Della Rosa spoke on "Sustainability and Decarbonization in Fashion under the European Green Deal", whilst New York partner John Balouziyeh discussed the topic of "Corporate Liability for Human Rights Violations in Fashion".

The conference covered a breadth of prevalent legal topics in the fashion industry, from the impact of fashion law on global economies, to the protection of designer's rights, trademarks and designs. This event is part of a series of conferences that will be held throughout the GCC over the next five years, culminating with the issuance of regional legislation at the GCC level covering all aspects of the fashion industry. Next year’s conference will be held in Saudi Arabia, followed by Dubai, Bahrain and then Qatar.
