Mexico City-based partner Javier Jiménez has a practice that encompasses infrastructure development, oil and gas, mergers and acquisitions and international arbitration. He has experience in corporate transactions, privatizations, project finance and arbitration.
Mr. Jiménez’s project finance experience includes oil industry projects involving both onshore and offshore crude oil storage facilities, gasoline storage facilities, LPG storage facilities and natural gas pipelines, as well as various transactions in the power industry. He also has extensive experience in representing corporate clients in complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions and in the formation of strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
Mr. Jiménez’s practice also advises state and private-sector companies and acts as an arbitrator in commercial international arbitrations in a variety of fields, including oil and gas, shareholders' agreements and corporate acquisitions.
Mr. Jiménez teaches international arbitration at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE) in Mexico City.
