Loujaine Kahaleh focuses her practice on investor-state and international commercial arbitration.

Ms. Kahaleh has extensive experience in the representation of sovereign states and state-owned entities in arbitral disputes before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) tribunals across a variety of fields, including oil and gas and infrastructure construction. She also has experience in cross-border commercial litigation.

Ms. Kahaleh previously provided pro bono legal assistance through the Fordham International Refugee Assistance Project.

Ms. Kahaleh increasingly appears before the French courts in proceedings relating to the recognition, enforcement or setting aside of arbitral awards. For example, she was a key member of the Curtis team that successfully obtained the setting aside by the French courts of a €452 million arbitral award against a sovereign client.
