Curtis Washington Relocates to New Space to Meet the Needs of Its Expanding D.C. Office

Washington, March 1, 2010 — Effective today, leading international law firm Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP has relocated its Washington, D.C., operations to 1717 Pennsylvania Avenue. The move facilitates the firm's continued expansion and will enable the firm to better support the needs of clients from around the world.

The firm's new Washington, D.C. office is located less than a block from the White House and the World Bank. Situated on the building's top floor, the new space more than doubles the size of the firm's current offices.

'This relocation marks an important step in Curtis' ongoing expansion in Washington, D.C.,” noted Washington, D.C. Managing Partner Daniel R. Lenihan. “The new space will better accommodate our current lawyers and staff while also allowing for the firm's continued growth, enhancing our ability to meet client needs both now and in the years to come.”

The Curtis Washington, D.C., office has added senior lawyers James K. Alford (partner) and Claudia Frutos-Peterson (senior consultant). Over that time, the office also has expanded its ability to service client demands relating to Securities and White-Collar Litigation, Finance, Infrastructure Development, Energy, Climate Change and International Arbitration.

The Curtis Washington, D.C., office, established in 1963, represents public and private companies, governments and individuals in a wide range of matters before federal government agencies, and in corporate transactions, investigations and disputes domestically and abroad. Curtis offers clients deep experience in the core practice areas of antitrust and competition law, employment law, securities law enforcement proceedings and white-collar criminal defense, energy and infrastructure project development and finance, corporate law, international arbitration, international trade, customs law and export controls. Similar to the firm as a whole, the firm's Washington, D.C. office counsels clients on complex U.S. and cross-border corporate, trade and financing transactions and the domestic and international laws and regulations that govern these transactions.
