Curtis Frankfurt has successfully represented a professional Basketball franchise (Respondent) participating in the German 2. Basketball Bundesliga ProA in a dispute over commission fees, costs and interest with a German players’ agency (Claimant) before the Basketball Arbitral Tribunal (BAT) in Geneva.
The sole arbitrator’s award, which significantly reduced the claim, was made on an ex aequo et bono
basis with no reference to any particular national or international law.
