Antonio Prida Moderates Panel at the 32nd World Forum of Mediation Centres of the UIA

Founding partner of our Mexico City office, Antonio Prida, will moderate the panel, “Has the Time for Investor-State Mediation Arrived?”, which will take place on April 6 in London, during the 32nd World Forum of Mediation Centres of the Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA).

Created in 2001, every nine months the forum brings together some of the best commercial mediation practitioners and officers of the world’s leading commercial mediation centres. This year, the Forum is presented with the support of the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) and the International Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC). The panel moderated by Mr. Prida will include a discussion of the growing use of mediation in Investor-State disputes, tracing the development of mediation through the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT), the ICSID Mediation Rules, UNCITRAL Working Group III and the CEDR Investor State Working Group. Participants will review obstacles to using Mediation in this context and how it can be overcome.

Mr. Prida will also participate as Coordinator of the Mediation Commission of the Ilustre y Nacional Colegio de Abogados de Mexico, the oldest professional association in the Americas. To learn more and to register, click here.
