Curtis Advises Ontex's Management in relation to its Euronext IPO

Paris, July 3, 2014 - Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP has advised the management team of Ontex NV, the Belgian leading global producer of disposable personal hygiene solutions, on the initial public offering of its shares on Euronext Brussels. The offering was launched on June 11, 2014 and ended on June 24, 2014 for a first trading day on June 25, 2014. The final offer price set for the IPO is 18 per share.

The Belgian company was valued at 1.8 billion by the market on June 25, 2014. The gross proceeds for Ontex resulting from the sale of new shares are 325 million. This will initially be used to reduce debt.

Ontex was founded in 1979 by the family Van Malderen, then acquired by Candover in 2006 (after Ontex's delisting in 2003). Candover sold Ontex to Goldman Sachs and TPG Global in 2010.

With 15 manufacturing facilities in 12 countries - in Western & Eastern Europe, Middle East, Australia, and China — Ontex has close to 5,000 employees across the globe. Its products are sold in over 100 countries and it realized more than 1.4 billion in sales in 2013.
