Curtis attorneys participated in the Ninth Annual Juris Conference on Investment Treaty Arbitration on February 26, 2015 held in Washington, D.C. The conference's theme was “Investment Treaty Arbitration and Natural Resources.” Partner David Hesse, London, spoke on the first panel about “Protecting Property' Rights in Investment Treaty Arbitration — A Compound-Definitional-Dilemma”. Associate Diora Ziyaeva, New York, presented a paper on the second panel about whether international arbitral tribunals have applied the Chorzów Factory case correctly. Associate Borzu Sabahi, D.C., was a Co-Chair of this annual conference.
