Curtis Mexico Partner Antonio M. Prida speaks at the Global Law Summit in London

Antonio M. Prida was one of only two Mexicans speaking at the 2015 Global Law Summit, held in London from 23rd — 25th February 2015, in commemoration of 800 years since the seal of the Magna Carta. Mr. Prida's discourse covered the role of international business lawyers in business promotion and the practice of foreign lawyers in Mexico in general. The panel also discussed the Mexican legal framework and various opportunities for improving the perception of Mexico as a suitable recipient of DFI. Mr Prida spoke on recent reforms in Mexican legislation, the ongoing improvement to the legal code of ethics, and the process currently underway to establish compulsory membership of the Mexican Bar for anyone wishing to practice law within the country. The only other Mexican speaker was José Ángel Gurría, Secretary General of OECD.
