Curtis Partner Daniel R. Lenihan had the honor of introducing Donald L. Kohn, Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, to a group of 250 Wall Street executives and professionals on Oct. 15. The event was hosted by the Georgetown University Wall Street Alliance, where Mr. Lenihan serves on the Board of Advisors. Mr. Lenihan led Curtis' representation of the government in two federal loan guarantee programs -- the Air Transportation Stabilization Board and the Emergency Steel Loan Guarantee Board -- both of which Mr. Kohn chaired on behalf of the Federal Reserve. Vice Chairman Kohn spoke on the economic forces which have led to the current liquidity crisis and the measures which the federal government has put in place to restore the normal functioning of the credit markets.
