Lizabeth L. Burrell, Counsel (New York Office) Was Presented the Meritorious Public Service Award by the U.S. Coast Guard

On May 2, 2008 Ms. Burrell was presented the Meritorious Public Service Award by the United States Coast Guard for her role as President of The Maritime Law Association of the United States from 2006 - 2008. The award recognizes Ms. Burrell for her role in greatly strengthening the bonds between the Coast Guard and the maritime legal and regulated communities, and for her role as an advisor to the United States delegation to the International Maritime Organization's Legal Committee, bringing greater harmony in the shipping laws, regulations, and practices of different nations.
