Trusts and Estates partner Michael S. Schwartz has been named the First District Representative for the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Section. Mr. Schwartz has been an active member of this Section, having previously served as Vice Chair and Chair of the Estate and Trust Administration Committee, and chaired the Spring meeting in 2018. The Trusts and Estates Section of the NYSBA plays an active role in the New York trust and estate community. Through his involvement, Mr. Schwartz has been an integral part of committees which have proposed new legislation or commented on proposed legislation in New York, including major proposals to adopt a modified version of the Uniform Trust Code.
