Eduardo Cukier, Tax partner in the NY office, co-chaired a panel of six leading tax advisors from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and the United States, addressing the impact of the U.S. tax reform under the 2017 Tax Cut and Jobs Act on Latin American investment in the United States. The panel explored the implications of the U.S. tax reform on the potential structures of new investment, debt and equity financings, intellectual property transfers, potential exit strategies and considerations for ongoing business operations, in light of the tax panorama in the Latin American jurisdictions. The Conference, held June 13-14 in Miami, was jointly organized by the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association, The International Fiscal Association and the Tax Executives Institute, and was attended by leading tax advisors from around the globe.
