Partner Antonio M. Prida will give a master class on Mediation during the 33rd edition of the renowned International Commercial Arbitration Course organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Mexico, the Escuela Libre de Derecho, and the ICC International Court of Arbitration. The course will be held online from September 2022 to February 2023; Mr. Prida’s class will take place on September 7, 2022.
The course offers 5 different modules. The first module will introduce the different Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms. The second will touch upon the Arbitration Agreement and the applicable law to the arbitration and will include a practicum on a Request for Arbitration and a Provisional Measures request. The third will focus on Arbitration and the Judiciary, including master classes on evidence, damages, the role of the judiciary, among others relevant topics in arbitration. This module will conclude with a practice hearing. The fourth one will cover the Award and post-award procedures (i.e., annulment, recognition, and enforcement) and will conclude with a practicum on these aspects. The final module will deal with subject-specific arbitration areas, such as Sports Arbitration, Investment Arbitration, Arbitration and the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA), Construction Arbitration, among others.
