Partner Charles B. Howland Named to Smart Grid Buildout Initiative Advisory Panel

New York Environmental partner Charles B. Howland has been named to the Expert Advisory Panel for the Renewable Energy/Smart Grid Buildout Initiative (“The Initiative”), and its sponsor, the Center for Strategic Policy Innovation. The Initiative is designed to encourage significant economic development and job creation in mid-size American cities through new investment in renewable energy projects and “smart” micro grids, using a newly developed Smart Grid Buildout Template and financed by alternative investment forms rooted in public-private partnerships. Other members of the panel include representatives from national and state economic development agencies, non-governmental organizations working to revitalize environmentally impaired land, as well as international equipment vendors and consultants.
