Partner Claudia Frutos-Peterson Speaks at Arbitral Women ICDR Y&I & FIA, and IBA Young Lawyers Training in the Dominican Republic

Washington, D.C. partner Claudia Frutos-Peterson participated in a round table on the topic “Arbitraje en America Latina: ¿Dónde Estamos las Mujeres?” which took place on June 25, 2018 at the Hotel Crowne Plaza in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The round table facilitated an in-depth discussion of the appointment of women arbitrators in Latin America.

Ms. Frutos-Peterson also spoke at The Fundamentals of International Legal Business Practice: IBA Young Lawyers’ Training, which took place on June 26, 2018 at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic. The conference facilitated a discussion of Young Lawyers Training, and explored emerging issues as arbitration, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution; career development in international legal practice; key issues and tactics for negotiating a successful cross-border M&A deal; and the art of persuasion before international courts and tribunals.
