Partner Michael S. Schwartz to Speak at New York University's July Tax Conference

New York-based Trusts & Estates and Private Client partner Michael S. Schwartz will speak at the New York University School of Professional Studies’ 2018 Tax Conferences in July series.

Mr. Schwartz will lead a session entitled “The Basics of Basis in Estate Planning” on July 17. His presentation will provide an overview of cost basis considerations for income tax purposes and discuss its importance in the estate planning context. The lecture will detail how understanding basis is particularly key in light of the U.S. Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, which underscores the importance of income tax considerations in estate and trust planning.

This follows Mr. Schwartz’s 2017 lecture at NYU’s School of Professional Studies.
