Experienced German Tax partner Christian Fingerhut focuses on national and international tax law and transaction services. He is also active in adjacent corporate & finance work and assists our dispute resolution teams and clients in court and international arbitration proceedings.

Global Tax Practice

Mr. Fingerhut advises domestic and international clients on tax-efficient planning, structuring and implementation of private equity and merger and acquisition transactions, as well as counselling on financial and corporate restructuring, with a particular focus on distressed situations. His experience also includes tax optimization of transfer pricing and structured finance business models and he has notable expertise in the structuring and issuing of funds and securities. Mr. Fingerhut also conducts disputes before ordinary and tax courts and contributes his experience in (international) arbitration proceedings on a regular basis.

Academia and Thought Leadership

Mr. Fingerhut is qualified as a lawyer and certified tax advisor in Germany. He has been awarded the additional qualification “Certified Specialist Advisor for International Tax Law” by the Hesse Chamber of Tax Consultants. He is the author of a number of legal articles, and the co-author of a renowned commentary on the German Securities Prospectus Act (Wertpapierprospektgesetz, WpPG). As an active member of various professional associations, he is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars. Since 2017, he has been named by Best Lawyers as one of the best tax practitioners in Germany.
