Klas Holm has more than 25 years’ experience advising corporations, partnerships, various forms of pooled investment funds, trusts and individuals in complex U.S. and international tax matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, financing transactions, global tax planning and tax controversies.
Mr. Holm frequently represents multinational companies, sovereign wealth funds and private equity/hedge funds in connection with complex tax and transactional matters. Mr. Holm has successfully defended many clients in connection with tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state tax authorities.
He regularly publishes client alerts and articles on recent developments in tax law and policy. He is also frequently invited to speak and make presentations on cross-border and corporate tax issues by clients and industry groups, including the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds, International Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Tax Executives Institute and other organizations.
