Associate Belén Ibañez Participated in the Young ITF Debate on environmental concerns in ISDS

On 14 November, associate Belén Ibañez participated in the Young ITF Debate on environmental concerns in ISDS. The motion discussed was “This house believes that States rather than tribunals are responsible for the failure to give sufficient weight to environmental concerns”. Ms. Ibañez argued against the motion together with professor Martins Paparinskis from University College of London. The Young ITF Debate was organized by the Young Investment Treaty Forum which works under the patronage of the British Institute of International and Comparative Law and its Investment Treaty Forum.
