Jurisdiction and Procedure in Investment Arbitration: New Developments

Associate Simon Batifort of Curtis' International Arbitration Group wrote a chapter in the recently published 5th edition of International Arbitration Review. The chapter, “Jurisdiction and Procedure in Investment Arbitration: New Developments,” reviews developments in investment arbitration in 2013 and early 2014, with a focus on jurisdictional and procedural issues. During this period, significant decisions were rendered on several important issues, including preconditions to international arbitration, the definition of investment and challenges to arbitrators.

The International Arbitration Review, published by the parent company of Global Arbitration Review, provides business-focused legal analysis of the year's most significant arbitration matters and their commercial implications from prominent counsel in the most significant jurisdictions.
