Curtis is proud to announce that environmental partner Charles Howland was one of 400 U.S. citizens selected by the U.S. Department of State's Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board to share expertise with host institutions abroad through their Fulbright Specialist Program this year.
From September 28th through November 6th, Mr. Howland will serve as a Fulbright Specialist on behalf of the State Department at the Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL), in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. TSUL is Uzbekistan’s principal educational and scientific institution for educating, training and retraining of lawyers in the Republic. Mr. Howland will support TSUL’s environmental and energy law programs by giving lectures to law students, providing training for teachers regarding innovative ways to teach these law topics, and advocating ways to facilitate further collaborations between U.S. and Uzbekistan educational and NGO institutions.
