Partner Claudia Frutos-Peterson will participate as a panelist in a webinar entitled, “Arbitraje de Inversion frente al COVID-19,” organized by Arbitraje Alumni for Latin American arbitration practitioners and government officials. The webinar will take place on Friday, April 24 at 12pm (EST).
The session will focus on the impact of COVID-19 on international arbitration, and will explore questions including whether investors can allege that states have violated standards of protection as a result of measures taken in response to COVID-19, and what arguments states can use to defend themselves against these types of claims.
