Partner Fernando Tupa participates in the Fourteenth Annual Investment Treaty Arbitration Conference organized by Juris Conferences

Buenos Aires Partner Fernando Tupa participated as a panelist in the Fourteenth Annual Investment Treaty Arbitration Conference organized by Juris Conferences on Tuesday 2nd June at 10.30 am EST.

He was a panelist at the Session II web conference titled “True or False: The Time Has Come to Outlaw Double-Hatting?”. The topic was on the contentious issue of so-called double hatting in international investment arbitration. Authors Katelyn Horne (Arnold and Porter) and Guled Yusuf (Allen and Overy) drafted papers taking opposite positions. Following a brief presentation of these two papers, panelists participated in a round table discussion of the papers and the significant problems the issue poses for the future practice of international investment arbitration.
