Two Curtis Transactions Honored at International M&A Advisor Awards

Two Curtis Transactions were honored at the 5th Annual International M&A Advisor Awards, which recognizes the leading cross-border transactions, restructurings and deal financings globally.

The $6.1 Billion Acquisition of Viterra by Glencore was chosen as the Corporate & Strategic Acquisition of the Year (Over $1 Billion). The acquisition reinforces Glencore International's position as one of the world's leading commodity suppliers, giving Swiss-based Glencore immediate critical mass in the key grain markets of North America through Viterra's substantial Canadian operations. The Curtis team counseling Glencore in this acquisition included partners Matias Vega and Jeffrey Ostrager, counsels Raymond T. The Acquisition of Eclipse Therapeutics by Bionomics Ltd. Was chosen as the M&A Deal of the Year (between $10 million and $50 million). As a result of the deal, Bionomics will gain an important strategic base in the United States, the world's largest pharmaceutical market, with the acquisition. The addition of Eclipse will expand Bionomics' oncology pipeline and establish the company as a global leader at the forefront of cancer stem cell therapeutics.
