337 Investigation

A 337 investigation refers to an investigation by the US International Trade Commission under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 in the United States. That section refers to the infringement of certain intellectual property rights and other unfair competitive practices by other nations. ITC Section 337 investigations are instigated following the receipt by the ITC of a properly filed complaint.
